Kyle Meadows is a native of California. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, he had a multi-faceted athletic career, including competing on the international track and field circuit, with the National Football League, and as a member of the US World Cup Bobsled Team. During his sports career, he trained with some of the most elite performance trainers and coaches in the world, which helped mold his expertise in human performance, with an emphasis on biomechanics and speed development.

Kyle is currently a consultant with TechnoGym, an Italian-headquartered exercise equipment manufacturing company, where he specializes in writing exercise prescription and protocol for Technogym equipment. Recently, Kyle was a featured speaker at TechnoGym’s Running Congress in Cesena, Italy on the topic of biomechanics and speed development as it relates to TechnoGym’s equipment. His expertise includes speaking on resistance and assistance training and its application to treadmills. Development of performance and rehabilitation-related devices has been an entrepreneurial focus and the impetus behind Innovative Sports Technology, for which Kyle serves as president. Kyle is also involved with a collaborative effort with Northwestern University and Neuhelm for developing an on-field concussion detection device and a cutting-edge neck strengthening device to mitigate traumatic brain injury.

Kyle has developed his own style of training and is innovative in his approach to athletic development. He has worked with athletes of all ages, ranging from pre-pubescent to the professional athlete. He has trained some of the top NBA players, including all stars and world champions, and created NBA pre-draft camps in the Dallas, Texas area, where he prepared collegiate athletes for the NBA combines and subsequent drafts. Using scientific analysis and metrics, Kyle has developed his sports-specific training programs to focus on the measurable aspects of speed (i.e., stride length and stride frequency), and to enhance these abilities to positively impact start potential and acceleration. With these advanced techniques, he has succeeded in greatly improving athletic performance outcomes.

Kyle was the owner and operator of the Athlete’s Club Training Facility, located in the Olympic Center Complex in Lake Placid, which provided full instructional services as well as human performance development and training programs. These programs included complete assessment of current training status (body composition, power testing and performance testing), biomechanical analysis of sports- specific movements, and diagnosis of the physiology required to support these movements.

Kyle served as the strength and conditioning coach for the National Sports Academy in Lake Placid, which has produced numerous Olympic athletes. He is also the founder of the Olympic Region Track Club, a USATF-sanctioned youth track club. He has also been a featured speaker for the New York Ski Racing Association, the New York Chiropractic College, PEAK running camps, and Dartfish Visual Analysis Symposiums. In addition to his daily activities, Coach Kyle currently coaches performance and consults weekly with former Olympian and elite track and field coach Dennis Mitchell, with his team of Olympic level athletes to improve sprint biomechanics and technique.
